NEW JERSEY STATE MASTERS

 

Congratulations to Charlie Bruno who represented NJS USBC BA in the 2009 USBC Masters held at Cashman Center in Las Vegas on Feb 8-15, 2009. He finished 35th in the qualifying rounds, and made it through three sets of match play before being defeated. Charlie cashed at $2,500.

 

2008

The NJ State Masters Tourney was held at Carolier Lanes on December 13-14, 2008.
 
Jason Stadtler is this year's Champion. He is from Cherry Hill and the South Jersey Bowling Association.
 
In the qualifying round of 8 games, Jason finished fifth with 1915.
 
His first match was against Scott Silvey of Monmouth County, who he defeated with 487-370.
 
The second match was played against Joe Pompilio from Ocean County, who he defeated with 477-426.
 
In the third match he won again by defeating Kevin Cartier of Mercer-Burlington with 416-336.
 
He won again in the fourth match against Dave Mutch of Morris County with 461-435.
 
His first loss occurred in the fifth match against Mike Reasoner of Monmouth County with 409-441.
 
In match 6 he defeated Joe Pompilio again with 425-380, which put Pompilio out of the competition.
 
In match 7 he encountered Mike Reasoner again and this time won the match with 423-393, putting Mike Reasoner into the Losers Bracket for the first time.
 
This created the need for another match against Mike Reasoner, since both now had one loss. In this match Stadtler defeated Reasoner for the tournament championship with 468-441.
